They are capable of withstanding extreme temperatures up to 1550°C (2822°F) and provide continuous heat resistance at 600°C (1112°F), exceeding the heat resistance needs of most laboratory work surfaces.

The material’s lab worktops consists of multiple layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resins and is equipped with a specialized surface coating that provides excellent resistance to a wide range of common chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and salts.
